Establishing Rotary Multipurpose Community Building and Community Service in Namobuddha Municipality, Nepal
The Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Nepal sought funds to renovate an existing community building, which had fallen into disrepair, in Bhakundebesi, Namobuddha Municipality, and for running a number of Projects from the refurbished Centre
Building that will become the Namobuddha Community Centre. The building was built some years ago as part of an international Rotary project but had fallen into disrepair.
This project was a collaboration between the Dhulikel Rotary Club of Nepal, Rotary Clubs in South Australia and the Rotary Club of Castle Hill.
Rotary Clubs in South Australia raised money for the refurbishment of the building and the Rotary Club of Castle Hill sought and was awarded a RAWCS grant for half the cost of the services to be provided from the Community Centre.
The services funded by the Rotary Club of Castle Hill were provided in 2024/2025, benefitting more than 500 local residents.
The total contribution was $6,420, with Castle Hill raising and donating half of the funds and the other half being funded from the grant. The breakdown of costing for the services was:
