The Rotary Club of Castle Hill led a huge fundraising campaign which was joined by Rotary Clubs across Australia and arranged for speedy transfer of donations to the Rotary District Disaster Relief Committee for Beirut, to be directly used by Rotarians on the ground.

The key focus of the fundraising was to rebuild the Neo Natal ward at St Georges Hospital in Beirut which would require US$90,000 to fund. Specifically to deliver nursery equipment at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center.

The club fundraising was led through a Go Fund Me Page and a Fundraising Banquet at Two Brothers Restaurant in Castle Hill. Through these events and with many generous donations from the community, the club successfully raised AUD10,000 as the first step to the rebuild. Subsequently, across all Australian Rotary clubs, the entire USD90,000 required was successfully raised and the reconstruction of the ward was able to be completed in 2021.
